在我的雅思教學(xué)生涯中，經(jīng)常碰到學(xué)生上交的作業(yè)中出現(xiàn)這樣的句子：Learning a new language is like learning to swim, it takes a lot of practice. 明眼人應(yīng)該可以看出句子出現(xiàn)的問(wèn)題，沒(méi)錯(cuò)，就是“逗號(hào)連接兩句話”！ 但是很多學(xué)生往往覺得這樣的句子是沒(méi)有錯(cuò)誤，其中很大的原因可能是受到漢語(yǔ)表達(dá)方式的影響。 逗號(hào)連接兩句話比比皆是。請(qǐng)看下面這個(gè)例子： “孩子傳統(tǒng)上從中學(xué)開始學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)，但一些教育家建議可以更早開始學(xué)習(xí)。這一政策已經(jīng)被一些教育當(dāng)局或一些學(xué)校采用，結(jié)果有利有弊。支持這一政策的顯而易見的論據(jù)是小孩子學(xué)語(yǔ)言與青少年相比容易得多。他們的大腦依然習(xí)慣于獲取他們的母語(yǔ)，這有助于學(xué)習(xí)另一門語(yǔ)言，而且他們不像青少年，沒(méi)有被自我意識(shí)約束?！?#13; 短短140個(gè)字就出現(xiàn)多處逗號(hào)連接兩句話。深受這種思想“毒害”的小伙伴們?cè)谟⑽淖魑闹蟹高@種錯(cuò)誤也就不奇怪了。以上文中的“這一政策，結(jié)果有利有弊。”為例，同學(xué)們的翻譯后的英文常常是這樣的： This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools, the results are both advantages and disadvantages. y 這是一個(gè)非常典型的run-on sentence（連寫句）。改正的方法往往有三種： 1.修改逗號(hào)為分號(hào) 修改后： This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools;the results are both advantages and disadvantages. t 2.添加并列連詞（and, but, so, for） 修改后： This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools, andthe results are both advantages and disadvantages. t 3.添加從屬連詞或者介詞 修改后： This policy has been adopted by some educational authorities or individual schools, with both positive and negative outcomes. t 在搞清楚這種問(wèn)題產(chǎn)生的原因和修改方式后，我們?cè)賮?lái)一起分析幾個(gè)例子： 例子1：Computer lessons play an indispensable part in school curriculum, it provides students with opportunities to acquire skills and improve futures. y 錯(cuò)誤分析：這句話犯了逗號(hào)連接兩句的錯(cuò)誤。經(jīng)過(guò)分析，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)這兩句話呈現(xiàn)因果邏輯關(guān)系。 改正： a.Computer lessons play an indispensable part in school curriculum; it provides students with opportunities to acquire skills and improve futures. t（修改逗號(hào)為分號(hào)） b.Computer lessons play an indispensable part in school curriculum, for it provides students with opportunities to acquire skills and improve futures. t（添加并列連詞for）
